Maritimecoverdog.com is run by the Maritime Bird Dog Club, The New Brunswick Field Trial Association, The Mid-Coast Maine Field Trial Club and The Nova Scotia Pointing Dog Club. We are responsible for hosting several field trials throughout the provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and the state of Maine. Our trials are mostly run on wild birds, namely Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock. All of our trials are spectator friendly and everyone is welcome to come out and watch some great dog work, furthermore we host several fun events for newcomers to get their feet wet in the great sport of field trialing, and have some fun with their pointing dogs. Please check out our trials page for a list of up-coming trials in New Brunswick and surrounding regions, and join our message board to connect with other bird dog and upland hunting enthusiasts in your area. Congrats to Matt Winchester, and Stark for winning the Andy Wishart Gun-Dog Stake, rounding out the placements were Bob Little with Kirby Burtts setter female Annie in 2nd, Keith Burgess and Jax 3rd and Susan Dugas with Skye in 4th.

Also Congratulations to Stacy Little for Capturing first place with Brinn in the 1st Annual Harold Hatfield Amateur Shooting Dog Stake, Stacy also took 2nd place with Penny and rounding out the placements was Leonard Sinclair with Sadie in 3rd. Report

Our next and final trial this fall season is the International Amateur Woodcock Championship in Debec, run in conjunction with the Miss Leslie Derby Classic and Cronk Farm Puppy classic, commencing on Thanksgiving weekend.
